Animal House

I found these images separately and have had them for a long long while now.
I never knew what the deal with this house was
till a few nights ago when my roommate, who is from Detroit, was showing me this great documentary on how young artists are trying to rebuild and reinvent the city.
And there it was.
It was like seeing a friend on television.

to watch the movie, and see the house.
definitely worth your time.

My Dad and Ralph Goings

Home today and already I'm freezing. This house is primarily glass, the floors are cold concrete and it just depresses me a little. I miss our old house with wood floors and warm rugs. My dad bought a 1966 airstream trailer that he plans on restoring and we're picking it up in a few days. This reminded me of Ralph Goings, an artist I really liked awhile back when I was really into photorealism. This is his painting "Airstream" 1970.
